The short version
This is a static site. There are no accounts, no comment system, no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics scripts. We do not set cookies for tracking.
What is collected anyway
Our host processes ordinary server request data - IP address, user agent, the page requested and the time - in order to serve the site and defend it from abuse. That is infrastructure logging, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.
If you write to us
Email you send to a Payroll Times address is kept for as long as needed to deal with it and to maintain the record of a correction where one was made. We do not add correspondents to a mailing list without being asked to.
If you contact us as a source, we treat your identity as confidential and will not disclose it in reporting without your agreement.
What we never publish
Payroll Times does not publish an account of an identifiable organisation's incident obtained privately rather than from the public record, including in anonymised form. This is a standing editorial rule and the reasoning is set out at editorial standards.
Your rights
If you are in a jurisdiction with data-protection rights - the UK and EU under GDPR, California under the CCPA, and others - you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you. Write to privacy@payrolltimes.com.
